Fleet strategy · Coming to Steam

Choose your command.

Four factions bring their own ships, visual identities and faction-specific abilities to Space Armada. Each uses the same core skills: gather alloy, support your fleet and make good decisions with the information you have.

Earth Alliance

Command Earth Alliance starships, including the Lamplight Support Ship. Learn how construction, mining, research and a mixed fleet work together, then explore the faction's available technology and abilities.

The Earth Alliance Academy gives you a guided way to learn the controls before trying a larger skirmish. Use support and reconnaissance alongside combat ships instead of treating every unit as a front-line attacker.

Vharuun Ascendancy

Take command of a Vharuun Ascendancy fleet and its faction-specific ship models and balance. The Academy lets you practice its opening steps before taking those ships into a competitive match.

Build an economy that can keep producing through losses. Watch the in-game unit descriptions and research requirements to understand which ships are ready for your current stage of the match.

Ilyr Directorate

Lead Ilyr Directorate forces and explore the faction's cloak-related tactical options. Fog of war, scouting and detection make information a practical part of every battle: an unseen movement can matter as much as another ship in the formation.

Read ability requirements in the Technology tree. Cloaking has counters, and enemy sensors can change whether a concealed approach will work. Practice the available tools in a skirmish before relying on them in multiplayer.

Nacre Continuance

Command the Nacre Continuance and explore control-requisition options alongside its faction-specific ships and structures. The Academy introduces the faction in a controlled training match.

Check research prerequisites before planning around a late-game ability or ship. Keep mining, production and fleet capacity growing while you work toward the technology your fleet needs.

Learn the role before memorizing the numbers

Common roles include Construction Ships, Mining Ships, Recon Scouts, Standard Cruisers, Brawler Heavy ships, Long Range Cruisers, Support Ships, Flagship Cruisers and the late-game Uber Dreadnought. Their faction models, availability and capabilities are defined by the game.

The Technology tree shows current producers, research prerequisites and ability unlocks. Because balance evolves, use that live reference for exact costs and stats. This guide introduces the factions without claiming that one is always strongest.

Learn the shared foundations, then open the Academy and choose the faction you want to command. You can use that knowledge in multiplayer and the campaign.
