A campaign built around fleet command

Aderra: The Broken Peace gives your battles a continuing story. Read the briefing, study the mission objectives and deploy with a plan. A campaign mission can ask more of you than simply defeating every opponent, so pay attention to the instructions presented before and during play.

The same construction, economy, research and tactical combat systems underpin the campaign and skirmishes. Learning how to keep mining ships safe and replace fleet losses will help beyond the first few engagements.

How to start

  1. Launch Space Armada from your Steam library.
  2. Choose Campaign in the game menu.
  3. Select Aderra: The Broken Peace and review its act and mission map.
  4. Open an available mission, read the briefing and launch when you are ready.

If you are new to the controls, start in the Academy. The beginner guide explains the systems you will encounter without revealing mission outcomes.

Briefings, objectives and cinematics

Mission briefings provide context and objectives. Watch for changes during a mission and use the current objective list when deciding where to send your ships. Some tasks reward keeping units alive or reaching a location, rather than committing everything to a single attack.

The included campaign, cinematics and voice recordings are installed with the game. Objective pings and the Find control help locate a mission target again. Timed tasks show progress as you work toward them.

Beta means the campaign is still developing

The game marks the campaign as beta and in development. Missions, balance and presentation may change. The current release includes forty missions, and the game menu is the reference for the missions and progress available to you.

For an open-ended battle between campaign sessions, try a single-player skirmish or a co-op match with friends.
